BS4808 Equipment Wires to Defence Standard 61-12 Pt 6

These cables are designed for the internal wiring of instruments and electronic equipment. Originally used by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in high density wiring applications.

Available as Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3.

PVC insulated with a tinned copper conductor.

Temperature rating 85°C (maximum conductor operating temperature).

Note: SB type wires have a braid over the insulation.

SBM type wires have a braid over the insulation and an overall PVC sheath.

Other types of Def Stan equipment wires are also available on request. Please contact our sales department.

All dimensions are nominal unless otherwise specified

Bunched conductor constructions are nominal and may vary slightly in the number of strands and/or strand diameter
