Quality Management
Our Quality Management System is certified by BASEC to ISO:9001:2015 and Permanoid is regularly audited by the certifying body. At our last audit there were zero non-conformances or observations raised, giving the company a continued clean bill of health.
Many of our products are covered by third party certifications including BASEC, UL and CSA. As we only sell cables that we manufacture ourselves, quality consistency is assured.
Environmental Sustainability
At Permanoid we continually strive towards reducing our carbon footprint. We aim to meet Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon neutrality by 2028.
We are also continually looking into reductions on waste, water and electricity usage, and heating oil.
We are fully compliant to both RoHS directive (2011/65/EU) and REACH (2006/121/EC).
Energy Usage
We are working towards offsetting our supplied energy and moving towards renewable energy sources.
We have replaced all gas heaters with new more efficient gas oil heaters. These will be offset until a practical replacement is found.
We have invested in new, more efficient electric FLTs and power pallet trucks. We have replaced all old machine drives with new and have replaced all lighting on site with energy-efficient LED lighting.
Re-use, Recycle, Reduce
Where possible, packaging material such as pallets, drums and frames are returned to the supplier for re-use. We also operate a returns scheme on wooden reels from customers.
Waste is segregated on site to ensure the best possible reuse of materials. For example, plastic extruder head waste is donated to a local company, which recycles all material, with the profits going to charity. The water used in our cooling troughs is recycled.
Zero Waste to Landfill
Our long-term goal is zero waste to landfill. We continue working with our waste management suppliers to meet this in the long term. We also prioritise the re-use and reduction of waste before recycling.
